I'm glad I'm not the only one, who liked SH Homecoming. I think it had a good story, great atmosphere, awesome bosses and godlike OST from Akira. I only didn't like appearence of Pyramid head and the fact you were fighting the Order cultists in the end of the game. It just felt weird. I also wish they would let Alex be a soldier, who have gone to war to deal with his own guilt and explained that due to his PTSD he supressed all those memories. But still good game in my eyes. :-)

Stephanie Brown is literally my favourite character in DC. Her continuos arc of trying to prove herself as a vigilante, never giving up despite being put down by her allies (and some of the writers) and then finally FINALLY getting her moment to shine is honestly so inspiring. Her run as Batgirl definitely did her justice. It was taken away from me too soon, but at least it happened.

Loved 3 and 4. Then Tried 6 and completely stopped trying all future games. I remember playing a classic character in 6 and they didn’t have their original weapon and I was like Hell naw. But I think I’ll buy 8 now. Would like to see a tier list for the spin offs like berserk, one piece etc

In tales of Symphonia, the MC, Llyod has technically 2 dads, his adopted father, who's a dwarf, who raises him after his mother died, and then his biological dad, who I won't mention because spoilers. I think both are amazing dads though. I think another great dad is Byleth's dad, Jeralt. Time with him in the game is brief, but it left a mark for sure. One of my fav games is a wholesome visual novel called Our Life: Beginnings and Always. One of the main chars is Cove, who's new to the Player char's neighborhood. His parents separated and his dad has custody of him. His dad, even though he's quirky, is so nice and really loves his son so much. Their relationship is a bit rocky since Cove loves his mom too (his mom is also great), but the relationship improves and if you decide to marry Cove, he makes his dad his best-man hehe. So yeah, great father.

I loved Tekken 6, but the Xbox 360 version of the game will not let you play online on the Xbox Series X/S. Same goes for the 360 version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2. The only version of Tekken 6 that I do not like is the PS3 version because the PS3 version of Tekken 6 is disc-only and there is no digital version of the PS3 version of Tekken 6 for the PS3. The game only shows your overall online wins, draws and losses offline in the player information option and when you are online in the ranked matches on Tekken 6, the player's wins, draws and losses don't show. And When you are online in the ranked matches, the character's wins, draws and losses are present.

Id love to see an Samurai Warriors / Anime Musou vid at some point, i never did get around to playing any of the Gundam ones and for some reason i always found the Samurai Warriors games not as fun as DW. Id like to go back at some point and give some of those games a good run. I feel like i didnt put enough time into DW 5 to rank it but my favorite would have to be DW 4, it was the game that really got me into the franchise and i just fell in love with the setting and the gameplay not to mention playing split screen with my cousin. That game made me a Shu Kingdom Boy. 2nd fav is probably DW 7, the gameplay was really good but it was the story and music that got me. DW 7 probably has my favorite interpretation of the three kingdoms story. It felt cinematic and sweeping and when characters died i actually felt something for em due to how it was portrayed. Loved the music too a lot of the tracks from that game like Epic Man and Hide Emotion are still in my game ost playlist. Hearing you talk about 8 makes me wanna check that out sometime this year.

Great rankings! I’m a huge fan of the series. Similar to you, I played these games growing up with my brother and we still play them to this day. Really got into 4 and 5. I actually have similar rankings but I’d put 8 in the S Tier and 9 below 6. I would much rather play 6 than that piece of shit 9. I stopped playing after like 30 min I was like “this ain’t DW” and played Warriors Orochi instead. Warriors Orochi 3 and 4 are amazing if you haven’t checked them out!

Spawn #300 and onward has been really good! And all the spin offs are dope

I am currently on the Resurrection arc after having an on and off relationship with the Spawn series since the late 90s, then coming back and reading through the five compendiums released so far. I feel that the main series is more filler than a solid narrative. Todd likes to drag this series out just to break the records he wants to as a creator-owned franchise and it certainly shows, with so many slow burns that ultimately go nowhere and retcons galore. I'm still adamant about getting through the whole series, but I'm definitely taking my time.

Final Fantasy from 7 to 10 is a great place to start too, 8 and their Junction system can be tricky to learn but it's not that hard to get it. Materias and the crystal system for 7 and 9 respectively aren't hard at all. Final Fantasy 9 is the sweet spot for me, and you have the remastered versions with the upgrades to speed things up a bit.

A very solid and diverse list. Some honorable mentions IMHO are Ni No Kuni 1 due to the Ghibli-esque art that many know, FFX due to a great story and cast of characters, and Fire Emblem Three Houses that has a persona 5 type confidant system but grid based, strategic battles.
